Fisheries, Aquaculture and Marine Ecosystems

15 trainees including 1 female were selected to attend this course and 15 Certificates were handed out. 

 

The agenda was covered and followed during the duration of the course covering fishing gear and operation (purse seine and longline fishing), species identification (tuna, billfish, sharks, sea turtles and marine mammals and other non target species, observer forms, biological sampling, observer work (role and rights), conservation and management measures and observer programme (national, sub-regional and regional).

SPC's support (participation of SPC's trainers, production and shipping of training materials) was funded under the SciCOFish project.
